Today, we’d like to introduce you to Nick Rockwell. Nick was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Kristina Corcoran.
Hi Nick, we’re so thrilled to have you sharing your story with us today. Maybe we can kick things off by having you introduce yourself to our readers? We’d love to have you go into your story and how you got to where you are today.
Sales has been a part of me since I was a kid going door to door selling products for school fundraisers or Boy Scouts. I was motivated to sell the most I could, not only to obtain the top prize, but to raise the needed funds to support various programs. These experiences taught me how to speak to people, to listen to what the customer needs, and to always have integrity. These skills were only enhanced through my initial career choices, as a police officer and United States Marine. When I decided to open up my own flooring business I knew that integrity had to be at the core of my business model. It is important to me to always do right by the customer, even if I do not gain the customer’s business in that transaction, I will know that I provided education for the customer to make the most informed decision.

Please tell us more about your brand, Integrity Floors
Integrity Floors is a veteran owned company that specializes in selling carpet, wood, vinyl, and tile products. My showroom is mobile as I bring the flooring samples directly to the customer’s home or place of business on their schedule to help avoid the hassle of the big box stores. Initial visits to a house or business will include a complimentary measurement, along with product education that addresses the specific flooring needs. The business philosophy of Integrity Floors is integrity. Even if a customer does not purchase flooring from my company, the customer will have the knowledge on what to purchase so money is spent effectively. In addition, my clients have access to my list of preferred installers even if the material is not purchased from me. I do not receive any profit from installation and ensure that my list of independent installers hold the same values with their business as I do with mine. Integrity Floors is a flooring company for everyone.

So, as we mentioned to our audience earlier, you were introduced to us by Kristina Corcoran and Tribe Networking and we really admire them and what they’ve built. For folks who might not be as familiar, can you tell them a bit about your experience with Tribe Networking.
Over the past 10+ years, I have been part of at least 40 different types of networking groups, and Tribe networking is by far one of the best organizations I have come across. I had the pleasure of meeting Tim and Kristina when I inadvertently crashed one of their networking events, while I was attending a different one at the same venue. We hit it off and I was invited to one of the first Tribe meetings and was shocked when I walked in and knew one-third of the room. The atmosphere was laid back and I was immediately welcomed by several other members. Tribe focuses on collaboration and relationship building to network, rather than the more traditional transactional quid pro quo. This quality is demonstrated by Kristina as she is constantly promoting Tribe members with those of the community to solve problems. Kristina, Tim, and the other Tribe members have become great friends. We gather together in a variety of avenues with 1:1’s, network activities, charity work, and social events (personal and Tribe related), all in an effort to get to know one another better on a personal and professional level. Another great aspect of Tribe is that it is extremely philanthropic. The organization is continually raising awareness and money for different charities that are of importance to the group. Tribe has been both highly profitable and beneficial for my personal network, and I am extremely grateful to be a part of it.
