Meet Peter Warekois of Isarti Travel

Today we’d like to introduce you to Peter Warekois.

Hi Peter , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Isarti Travel began as a collaboration between myself and my friend and business partner, Nicola (Nico) Pisani nearly 10 years ago now when we were both living in Denver. Nico, an Italian who had already been in the tourism industry, had expressed interest in venturing out on his own to create a boutique Italian travel company targeted toward American vacationers and honeymooners. With my background in marketing, business, and familiarity with Europe having lived there for several years, as well as my knowledge of the US market as an American, it seemed like a great fit.
We spent the next couple years developing a client network and relationships with trusted vendors and hotels in Italy, and were soon able to position ourselves as the premier Italy focused travel company in Denver.
We were able to establish trust and a glowing reputation among clients by demonstrating our deep knowledge of Italy, attention to detail, and overall commitment to personalized, premium service and trip building. Our specialized focus on Italy helped as carve out a niche in the crowded travel industry, and enabled us to expand our reach into other US cities.
Now, with offices in both Milan and Denver, we continue to service our growing client base in a time when Italy remains a top destination for American travelers.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Our biggest struggle thus far, as I’m sure it was for many companies, was Covid. What is a travel company to do during a time when travel is virtually shutdown? For about a year and a half we had to shift our focus from planning vacations and honeymoons to further developing our brand. We created marketing campaigns, improved our social media presence, streamlined our internal logistics, and developed our plan of attack for a post-pandemic world when we knew for sure it would be a struggle to re-establish confidence in international travel and get people excited about Italy again.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Isarti Travel is a boutique travel company that specializes in customized luxury vacations and honeymoons to Italy. We handle itinerary building, hotel and villa bookings, activities, excursions, private transports, train tickets, concierge services and much more. Essentially a one-stop shop for crafting a the perfect custom trip to Italy. Think of us as your Italy concierge. Whether it’s racing Ferraris in the Emilia Romagna country-side, wine tasting in Chianti, exploring the luxury of lake Como by private boat, white truffle hunting in the misty hills of Alba, exploring lemon groves and grottos on the Amalfi Coast, or enjoying a moonlit concert in an ancient Greek amphitheater in Sicily, we’ve got you covered.
For more independent travelers who prefer to book their own vacations, we also offer consultation services for those seeking the advice of Italy experts during their trip planning phase, which can be quite a stressful process, even for the experienced traveler.
What sets us apart is our specialization in Italy. Unlike other travel companies or agencies, we focus exclusively on Italy meaning we know it well and we know it deeply from head-to-toe. The best if-you-know-you-know hotel and villa properties, the tastiest hidden gem restaurants etc etc. Isarti is a company founded by Italians and Italy experts. We’ve also stayed small as a company and we’re proud of that because it enables us to provide personalized and attentive service to every client. Even during your trip we are always just a text or call away incase you need us to make a quick restaurant reservation, need a recommendation for the best gelato nearby, or need someone to translate for you.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Working in tourism is always a risk. It’s an industry that is very sensitive to things like global geopolitics, exchange rates, and of course pandemics as we all know now. All of which have direct effects on traveler confidence and international travel capabilities. More generally I would say that many people in the modern age might view the concept of a “travel agency” (though we do not classify ourselves as an agency) as outdated or unnecessary. But we have found time and time again that there is truly no substitute for deep local knowledge, and having an expert help plan and book a trip for you is a worthwhile and often stress relieving investment for many travelers, even in 2026.
