Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Natali.
Hi Rachel, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
From a young age, I was always creating and sewing. I was a dancer, gymnast, and cheerleader in grade school and would make my uniforms and alter them myself. Getting into high school I began making my homecoming and prom dresses and eventually decided to get my Fashion Design Degree at Savannah College of Art and Design.
From there, I was lucky enough to make my cousin’s wedding dress which was such an amazing experience; that is where my first desire to do bridal alterations was born. While bartending through college, I met a woman who owned her own alterations boutique and asked her if she ever needed help, I would love to learn more, and she said YES!
Fast forward many years and my husband and I decided to pick up our lives and move to Colorado. We packed up our camper and spent two weeks driving across the country. Once we landed in Fort Collins, I began opening my studio for bridal alterations. It has now been a successful 4 years of owning my own business and delivering exceptional work to hundreds of brides across the northern Front Range area.
I am fortunate enough to be in an area where I am one of three women who can do what we do. I see clients from Wyoming, Utah, and Nebraska based on my location. I love doing what I do and being able to work for myself. I hope to one day move internationally (Spain) and have the chance to work with an entirely different clientele.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Everything in life is hard, but it helps to be working towards something you love. It makes all the struggles worth it.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Full-service bridal alterations. From creating a custom wedding gown to altering a pre-purchased gown. I am known for being the best and being able to take a dress from a size 12 to a size 4. I am affordable but competitive and just hired my first assistant!
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
I work with mainly brides, so if you are a bride getting married, I am who you want making your dress fit you perfectly.
