Today we’d like to introduce you to Rafaelo Infante and Michael Martin. To delve into story peep the article below:
FYBR Nutrition began through a passion for food and fitness. Michael Martin and Rafaelo Infante have established themselves as competitive athletes over the years. As athletes, food was always a point of conversation – what food to eat? How many calories to consume? Throughout their experience training and preparing for events, the two found admiration for nutrition. They wanted to understand food, what it does for their bodies, and how food could optimize their performance.
Michael Martin began his journey as a nutrition consultant in 2020 when he decided to take a year off of school and pursue a career as a CrossFit athlete. Michael’s passion for nutrition was fueled by his need to perform at the highest level. By experimenting with his own “diet,” he gained insight on how he could help his clients achieve the goals they wanted to see. Driven to learn more, Michael went through nutrition classes, and certificates to become more knowledgeable. As Michael scaled up his business, he looked to make a name for his brand.
Rafaelo has raced as a professional mountain biker for the past 7 years. Traveling the world to race enduro he has had the opportunity to explore cultures and cuisines from all around. His passion for food began at a very young age which led him to a career in the culinary industry. From fine dining restaurants to pop-ups, food trucks to starting a bakery. Rafaelo has always immersed himself in food in some shape or form.
Michael wanted to create a brand with purpose, however, he didn’t have the bandwidth to scale the brand while serving his clients. He brought Rafa on board to manage everything branding, and digital. Together, they took Michael’s goals for the brand and created FYBR. FYBR Nutrition provides a custom, curated approach to reaching your goals through the strengthening of your relationship with food. We believe that food should work for us, and not against us. Through conversations with our clients to understand their goals we are able to gain insight into our client’s needs in order to create programs that work with their lifestyles. We want our clients to have a program they can follow for years, not for a couple of weeks. In order to do that we need to learn about them!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Considering FYBR was launched in 2022 we are still very early in our career. For now, we are focusing on building brand credibility which is a tough, and a slow process but one that is an essential part to building a brand. By taking it slow we are really able to focus on the smaller aspects on the brand, and perfect them.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Fad diets never were and never will be a one-size-fits-all approach to reach your health goals. Whether you are a C-suite executive trying to lead by example, a professional athlete aspiring to reach the next level, or just a regular person wanting to lose some weight. Through education, practical application, and the implementation of effective lifestyle behavior patterns, FYBR Nutrition looks to help educate foodies athletes and nutrition-conscious individuals about food.
Our approach is to be personable, relatable, and concessive. Through our digital marketing efforts, we look to connect with our customers through a medium that is approachable – photos. Online we post photos accompanied by a recipe in order to encourage conversation, we believe that if we post food we eat on a daily basis, other foodies will want to try the recipes we share, and ideally start a conversation about their relationship with food.
The creativity comes to play when designing recipes that will satisfy our three core customer groups – athletes, food enthusiasts, and nutritionally continuous folks. We get to explore different food groups, flavors, and styles of cooking so that we are constantly providing tasty meal recommendations.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory was coming back home after an activity, or school and smelling so many different flavors blowing through the house. Food was medium that my entire family enjoyed. We came together at the end of the day and would collectively decide on what we wanted to make. From choosing a dish to cooking we would do it together.
