Meet Ramon House

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ramon House. 

Hi Ramon, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
My name is Ramon House also known as Djk.o_. I was born on the south side of Chicago and later moved to Oak Park, IL. Living in Oak Park I started to find new interest. I was into things like fashion, rock music, skateboarding, and art. These interest carried over until my college years. I went to Northern Illinois University for education but after a few years I knew I wanted to be a professional DJ. I started djing in college and after a year I was djing at some of the biggest clubs in Chicago. I started my clothing brand once I graduated from college. I started from the very bottom, I had no one to help me or give me advice. So, I had to do a lot of research and had a lot of failures on the way. 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
When I first started djing and making music I had people around me saying I was good. When they would tell me that it would hurt my feelings but it also motivated me. So, I kept practicing and got better. 

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a DJ, Fashion Designer, and Stylist. My DJ name is Dj K.O and started djing in 2017. I Dj for Nightclubs, festivals, and celebrity artist. I started my clothing brand T3mple in 2021. I have worked with celebrity clients such as Iman Shumpert, Ayo Dosunmu, Queen Key, Dlow, and G Herbo. 

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love the vibe of Boulder. The beautiful sites to see are like no other city. Growing up in Chicago I wasn’t able to see a lot of nature but in Denver, I get that luxury. Also, The University of Colorado Boulder is also a nice campus and I would recommend anyone to attend.
