Today we’d like to introduce you to Rhonda Skallan.
Hi Rhonda, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Since 2007, I’ve been helping people navigate what I call a crisis in meaning. I’ve heard countless clients ask, “Why does this keep happening to me?” or “Why do I do everything right and still get passed over?” As a trauma survivor, I understand what it’s like to carry the weight of silence, shame, and self-protection — and how those experiences ripple into every area of life, from relationships to leadership.
For years, I learned to survive in male-dominated industries by pushing, performing, and proving. I led multi-billion-dollar construction and healthcare programs and became known for getting things done under pressure. From the outside, it looked like success. Inside, I was exhausted — always calibrating who I needed to be to fit in. Eventually, I realized that this performance wasn’t power. It was survival.
That awakening changed everything. It led me to coaching, leadership development, and ultimately, to creating Spark Alchemy — my company dedicated to transforming the weight we carry into something powerful and real. Today, I help visionary leaders, teams, and brands design experiences that move people — emotionally, energetically, and strategically. Whether it’s a retreat, a leadership workshop, or a brand event, my goal is to help people create moments that feel alive, authentic, and aligned.
Because when we have the courage to lead from the heart, we don’t just create success — we create connection, healing, and change that ripples outward.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road — but it’s been a meaningful one.
For a long time, my biggest challenge was navigating success as a woman in male-dominated industries. I thought I had to constantly adapt — be less feminine to be respected, more feminine to be liked. I became a chameleon, saying yes to everything, people-pleasing, and overworking to earn belonging.
Over time, I realized that this was a survival strategy — one rooted in old wounds about safety and worth. My healing and coaching work helped me see that authenticity isn’t a risk; it’s a return. It’s how we lead without losing ourselves. Once I stopped trying to fit into other people’s definitions of success, I started building a business — and a life — that actually felt like me.
We’ve been impressed with Spark Alchemy , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Spark Alchemy, I help leaders, brands, and organizations turn high-stakes moments into unforgettable experiences that inspire connection, creativity, and change. It’s not just event planning — it’s experience alchemy.
My work lives at the intersection of strategy and soul. I bring my background in complex project leadership together with my coaching and energetic tools to design experiences that are both transformational and impeccably executed. I help clients create retreats that restore, workshops that awaken, and events that bring people back to what matters most — each other.
What sets Spark Alchemy apart is the way I blend intention and precision. I believe logistics and energy go hand in hand — that the flow of a schedule, the tone of a conversation, and the feeling in the room all impact how people connect and grow.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud that Spark Alchemy has become known for its depth. It’s where authenticity and ambition meet. Where transformation doesn’t feel heavy — it feels alive.
How do you think about luck?
I don’t believe in bad luck — only in kismet and alignment. Every twist and turn, every heartbreak and breakthrough, has been part of the journey that shaped me into who I am — someone I like, and on my best days, someone I truly love becoming.
When I look back, it all feels divinely timed. The challenges taught me resilience and discernment. The wins showed me what alignment feels like. The people I’ve met and opportunities that have appeared — they’ve all been a reflection of saying yes to what feels true.
To me, luck isn’t random. It’s the reward for trusting your own timing and having the courage to keep showing up with your whole heart.
