Meet Sara Giita Flores of Westminster

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sara Giita Flores.

Hi Sara Giita, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Like many women I work with, my story begins with silence. After surviving sexual assault at a young age, I learned to restrict my voice—to stay small, palatable, and invisible. For years, I lived in that self-protective shell, even while appearing outwardly accomplished. I studied classical voice and earned a Vocal Performance degree, believing that if I sounded “perfect” enough, I would be safe. But that polish didn’t touch the fear and shame I carried inside.

It wasn’t until I began exploring meditation, somatic healing, and raw vocal expression that things started to shift. Slowly, I started reclaiming my full voice—not just the pretty, controlled parts, but the wild, messy, sacred truth underneath. That healing journey became the foundation of everything I do now.

I began as a traditional voice teacher, but as I deepened my own growth, I saw how many women struggled with the same nervous system overwhelm, fear of judgment, and longing to be seen that I had experienced. That’s when I transitioned into vocal empowerment coaching and speaker coaching—combining practical speaking skills with nervous system regulation, storytelling, and emotional healing.

Today, I help soulful entrepreneurs and empathic leaders speak on bigger stages, create talks that attract clients, and feel safe, grounded, and magnetic in their visibility. I wrote Unleash Your Goddess Voice to share not just techniques, but the deeper healing that allows women to fully own their power. Because I believe when a woman reclaims her voice, she doesn’t just change her life—she becomes a force of collective transformation.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ve faced many challenges on this path, and each one has shaped the depth and compassion I bring to my work.

In the early years, I was navigating the heavy weight of PTSD—anxiety, depression, and a victim mindset that told me it wasn’t safe to shine. For a long time, I believed that if I stayed small and agreeable, I’d be protected. But deep down, I knew I was here for more.

As I stepped into greater visibility—sharing my story, claiming space as a speaker and coach—I had to face the fear of being seen over and over again. Rejection became a familiar companion. There were moments when I poured my heart into a talk or an offering, and it didn’t land the way I had hoped. Those moments stung. But they also refined me. I learned to return, again and again, to my inner knowing—that my worth is not defined by external validation, and that my voice has value simply because it’s mine.

Running a business while raising a family continues to be both a challenge and a blessing. I’m the mother of two beautiful children, and balancing my soul work with the needs of my family is an ongoing dance. There are seasons when I feel pulled in many directions—but I also know that I’m modeling for my kids what it looks like to honor your purpose and trust your voice.

Every challenge has deepened my resilience and made me a more present, attuned guide for my clients. I don’t just teach confidence—I’ve earned it the hard way. And I believe that our challenges don’t diminish our brilliance. They shape the soil from which our most powerful contributions grow.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
At the heart of my work is a mission to help soulful women reclaim their voice—both literally and metaphorically. I’m a vocal empowerment coach, speaker, and author specializing in helping empathic entrepreneurs and professionals overcome stage fright, regulate their nervous systems, and speak with confidence and authenticity.

My clients come to me when they know they’re meant to be more visible—whether it’s giving their first big talk, preparing a TEDx presentation, or showing up more boldly in their business—but find themselves stuck in self-doubt, perfectionism, or fear of being judged. Together, we don’t just polish a presentation—we go deeper. I help them heal the root causes of nervousness and resistance, so they can show up with a voice that feels grounded, free, and unmistakably theirs.

What sets me apart is the fusion of practical speaking tools with somatic healing, nervous system regulation, and a deeply intuitive, heart-led approach. My background as a musician and composer gives me a refined ear for vocal nuance and presence, while my trauma-informed training allows me to hold space for deep emotional work. Many of my clients say that working with me is like “therapy for your voice”—a space where transformation happens from the inside out.

What I’m most proud of is that I’ve lived a life guided by creative passion and soulful longing. I’ve followed the call to teach, coach, speak, perform, write, and compose music for choir—not always knowing where it would lead, but trusting the wisdom of my inner voice. I’ve turned some of the most painful chapters of my life into offerings that uplift and empower others. And I’ve built a business that honors both my purpose and my presence as a mother, artist, and healer.

Ultimately, I believe our voices are sacred instruments for change—and I’m here to help women rise into their power and resonance, not just for their own success, but for our collective healing.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I work one-on-one with clients who want to overcome stage fright, become more visible, and start speaking on bigger stages. I also run a women’s networking group on Meetup called the Sassy and Soulful Women Entrepreneurs which creates a space for us to meet and collaborate. If you want to support my mission, you can tell a friend who might benefit from Vocal Empowerment Coaching or Speaker coaching to visit my website.
