Sara Zappone manages tours, activities, and guided experiences at Winter Park Resort. She has been working at the resort for nearly 10 years and loves being able to combine work and play.

Luke’s presentation is unique, in that it comes directly from the heart – it’s obvious that Luke is very knowledgeable and passionate about his craft, but he is also funny, engaging, and insightful. He is able to communicate his in-depth understanding of physics, astrophysics, and geophysics in a way that is approachable to everyone, whether a curious beginner or seasoned astronomer.

Luke has been working with Winter Park Resort for several seasons, and has offered events at the resort in summer and winter months. His presence at Winter Park adds an unexpected opportunity for visitors to view the night sky with professional-grade equipment after a full day of biking or skiing. When guests decide to step away from the telescopes, hot cocoa and chairs are provided for further relaxation under the stars. Winter Park Resort’s location in the heart of the Rocky Mountains allows for darker night skies and an exceptional viewing experience.
