Meet Scott Dudley of Branin Center’s for Dentistry

Today we’d like to introduce you to Scott Dudley.

Hi Scott, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Scott Dudley is a residency trained dentist, and fellow of the academy of general dentistry. After dental school at the University of Pennsylvania, he served 3 years of active duty service in the United States Air Force. From 2008-2015, he opened multiple 5-star general and cosmetic dental offices in Northern Virginia under the brand names Elite Dental and Virginia Center for Dentistry – serving some of Washington DC’s most notable citizens.

In 2017 Dr. Dudley went back to the University of Virginia with the purpose of understanding how to better scale “Low volume, very high quality general & cosmetic dental practices, that accepted most dental insurances (were accessible and affordable to most).”

Upon graduating from Darden in 2019, Dr. Dudley moved his family to Louisville Colorado to start the Branin group. In 2020 after the covid delay, Branin purchased it’s first office on 38th St. in Denver. Four more offices would follow over the same number of years, 3 being built from scratch. Today, every Branin office consists of an owner doctor whose integrity and name is behind every decision and every patient. Offices can be found from Boulder county to South Denver. Our brand is the most highly reviewed, non-private equity backed, group in the State.

Our name:

The Branin Dental Group was started by, Scott Dudley, a United States Air Force veteran whose father practiced dentistry for 43 years and whose grandmother’s maiden name was Branin. Carolyn Branin was born in 1915 and when she died at the age of 99, she was most proud of the fact that she had all her teeth, which was extremely rare compared to her contemporaries. Carolyn was a teacher, mother of two, and wife for over 55 years. Although she was far from wealthy, she always carried with her a lady-like appearance, mannerism and grace. She was proud of her family and surrounded herself with many lifelong friends. Integrity, respect and responsible are words others used when describing Carolyn. Our Brand is founded on and principled in those same qualities that made Carolyn Branin the unique and unforgettable woman that she is.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Relocating from Washington DC meant leaving behind a 5-star reputation and an entire professional network. Starting over was something I knew would be difficult, but putting together an all-star 50 person company has taken 5 years, hundreds of hires, and thousands of interviews. Furthermore, finding partners as talented as we have, was made that much more difficult just by virtue that the number of people in the state of Colorado is significantly limited as compared to the East Coast.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Branin Center’s for Dentistry ?
