Today we’d like to introduce you to Shanaz Kalantar.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey into wellness started long before I ever made it my career. I’ve always been fascinated by the body and mind, which led me to study science with a specialization in kinesiology, and later pursue a postgraduate diploma in wellness and nutrition. But like many people in this space, my deeper calling came from personal experience.
I struggled with my own health issues—skin breakouts, gut imbalances, hormone challenges—and I kept hitting walls with conventional approaches. That frustration pushed me to take matters into my own hands and explore root-cause healing. The more I learned and applied, the more my body responded. My symptoms eased, my energy returned, and I started to feel like myself again.
I began sharing my journey on social media just to document it—and unexpectedly, it resonated. People started asking for help, and what began as casual support turned into a business. Since 2020, I’ve been guiding others through their own gut healing and hormone balancing journeys—first through 1:1 coaching, then programs, and now a full wellness brand that includes education, detox protocols, supplements, and more.
It’s been a process of evolution and deep trust. What keeps me going is knowing that every challenge I went through was for a reason—to help others come back home to their bodies with compassion and clarity.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not a smooth road—but I think that’s what makes the journey meaningful. There were a lot of internal and external struggles along the way. Internally, I had to overcome deep self-doubt—wondering if I was “qualified enough,” if people would actually trust me, or if I was capable of running a business on my own.
Externally, there were financial ups and downs, learning curves with marketing, tech, and managing everything solo in the beginning—from creating content to coaching clients to fulfilling supplement orders. There were launches that flopped, moments of burnout, and seasons where I questioned if I should keep going.
But every challenge pushed me to become more resilient, more aligned, and more clear on why I do what I do. It forced me to develop systems, boundaries, and a deeper relationship with myself and my mission. It’s never been “easy,” but it’s always been worth it.
As you know, we’re big fans of Shazness Wellness. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Shazness Wellness is a space for deep, root-cause healing—especially for women who feel dismissed, overwhelmed, or like they’ve “tried everything” with no real results. I specialize in gut health, hormone balance, and emotional healing, and I bring together science, spirituality, and strategy to support my clients on all levels—physical, mental, emotional, and energetic.
What I’m most known for is helping women get to the root of their symptoms. Whether it’s bloating, acne, fatigue, or hormonal imbalances, I guide them to uncover what’s really going on and create a protocol that supports long-term healing—not just quick fixes.
What sets me apart is how personal this is. I’ve walked this path myself. I know how frustrating it is to feel dismissed or told “everything looks normal” when your body is clearly telling you otherwise. I combine clinical knowledge with real-life experience, and I hold space for the emotional side of healing too—because your symptoms aren’t just physical, they’re messages.
Right now, I offer a few key programs, including The Root Cause Solution, a self-paced foundational course, and SoulfulGut, my signature 5-month high-touch coaching experience for deep transformation. I also offer detox protocols, supplement guides, and spiritual coaching around worthiness, boundaries, and embodiment.
What I’m most proud of is the community and clarity that Shazness Wellness creates. It’s not just about healing the body—it’s about coming home to yourself, reclaiming your light, and realizing you’re not broken—you just need the right tools, support, and safety to rise.
I want readers to know: healing is possible. You’re not too sensitive, too complicated, or too late. You just haven’t been given the right approach—yet.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite childhood memories is spending quality time with my family—whether it was simple things like movie nights, road trips, or just sitting around the dinner table laughing together. I always felt safe, loved, and connected in those moments. Another big part of my childhood was gymnastics. I loved how free I felt when I was flipping, jumping, and pushing my body in new ways. It taught me discipline, confidence, and the joy of movement—something that still shows up in my life today through the work I do with the body. Those two pieces—family and movement—really shaped who I am.
