Meet Shannon Nagle of Littleton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shannon Nagle.

Shannon, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Shannon Nagle. I started my journey with my business when I got my first Cricut for Christmas. I was planning to use it to make cute things for my classroom. While exploring all the Cricut can do I found out that I can make tee shirts and tumblers. I watched a few videos and got to work. I would do small projects for me so if they got messed up it didn’t matter. I then began to make more tumblers and found out how to seal them with epoxy to make them last longer. That is when my family started putting in more and more requests for them. I made all the wedding gifts for my mom’s weddings and some fun tumblers for a family friend. When COVID hit and they sent all the teachers home I decided I could devote more time to my business. I then got laid off due to COVID and took a big leap and got a LLC license and got a small booth in the Makers Market in Southwest Plaza. It was such a big thing to take on but I was very excited. Business started off slow only selling a few things a month but then Christmas hit and I could not keep up! I have since been taking my cups to craft fairs, keeping my store stalked, and making plenty for family and friends.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It was definitely not a smooth road. I have learned so much through selling items. I have learned that not many theme items sell like Halloween and Valentine’s Day. I have learned that I am just one person who can only do so much but to lean on family because they will always help out. I have also learned that no matter how cute or price wise my item is sometimes people buy from other business.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I love making tumblers they are what I’m most proud of. I like that even though they can take up to a week they can turn out to be the most beautiful fun cups for people to drink thought. I love how happy people get when they buy my cups.

Any big plans?
My plans for the future are to keep going with what I am doing but to always keep change in mind. The things that are in style now may not be in a few years. I would hope to expand and get some help to. Since I am a one women operation.
