Santa Cruz, California, where I grew up, was both my playground and classroom.

Surfing amid the expansive Pacific instilled in me a profound respect for nature’s powerful ebb and flow, and I quickly learned to find my place within it. The ocean’s vastness made me feel both humble and connected to something greater than myself. It was this very humility, combined with a burning desire to serve others, that drew me to the Marine Corps. Just as I rode the waves, I wanted to navigate the complexities of our world, contributing to a cause larger than any individual.

While serving, the effects of PTSD on my fellow servicemen became impossible to ignore. It was a stark reminder of the fragile balance between the mind and external influences. After my time in the Marines, I was driven by a need to understand and make a difference, which is why I pursued a B.S. in Neuroscience.

Drawing inspiration from Ernest Hemingway, who once remarked, “Every man’s life ends the same way. It is only the details of how he lived and how he died that distinguish one man from another,” Nurowerx is my detail, my distinctive mark in a vast tapestry of innovation. A large part of our journey’s relative smoothness stems from our unwavering focus on developing our groundbreaking technology. We knew our direction, we had a clear vision, and we stayed the course.
