The awakening of an Aesthetic. My narrative is one of artistry, lineage, and a cultivated vision. It finds its origins in the observant eyes of a young girl, watching a mother who masterfully wove together the worlds of real estate and professional photography. From her, I absorbed not merely technique, but an intrinsic philosophy: the alchemy of light, composition, and narrative required to reveal the authentic essence of a subject. It was a privileged education, one that gifted me with a similarly refined eye—a legacy of perceiving the profound within the frame.

This nascent passion was meticulously honed. Throughout my formative academic years and into advanced studies, I dedicated myself to the disciplined development of my artistry. Each experience served as a stepping stone, deepening my understanding and sharpening my perspective.

Upon reaching my professional maturity, the path unfolded with elegant clarity. I chose to unite with my mother, merging our shared history and distinct strengths into a singular, powerful partnership. Together, we curate exceptional visual legacies for a discerning clientele.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Over my 23-year career and Marlene’s 40+ years, we’ve honed our artistry into three distinct specialties: Couture Fashion Editorials, Elegant Boudoir Collections, and Elevated Headshots & Branding for executives and visionary brands. Each commission is treated as a bespoke project, designed to become a client’s visual legacy.

To preserve the depth of focus and personalized experience this caliber of work demands, we maintain a highly curated calendar. The pinnacle of this philosophy is our Platinum Wedding services. Each season, we accept only a select number of these commissions. This exclusive approach allows us to partner fully with the couple, dedicating our complete creative vision and undivided attention to orchestrate not just a photoshoot, but a truly seamless, red-carpet experience for their entire celebration. It’s the highest expression of our art.

What often surprises people is that at the core of Poshtography is a self-taught journey that began in the age of film. That foundation—learning light and composition by hand, frame by precious frame—instilled a discipline and intentionality that no shortcut can provide. While each of us has since immersed ourselves in advanced study and mentorship, that hands-on beginning is our secret weapon. It means we don’t just follow trends; we understand the fundamental why behind every image we create for our clients.
