Meet Terrell Matheny

Today we’d like to introduce you to Terrell Matheny. 

Hi Terrell, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I’m Terrell Matheny born and raised in Aurora, Co I started off doing talent shows and dancing at any event I could. Dancing around Aurora at house parties and having dance-offs at night clubs I continued my talents into music and acting. At the age of 22 I became a Denver Nuggets Dancer on the jumbotron doing improve dancing for the fans after the kiss cam. In my music career, I have did multiple shows with A-List Artists. In 2016 I began my acting career landing a role in Phillip Penza’s hit show “Scrutiny” with Eric Roberts, Eliza Roberts, and many other great actors. After that, I then Landed my first Co-lead role in a horror movie named “Water” as a witch doctor from the Middle East named Father Mathews. 

Then I did my second co-lead role in a film called “Fire And Rain” with Vivica A Fox, Angela Winbush and Noel G. 

I 2020 I co-wrote my first film “Boyz From The Streets” Starring Big Daddy Kane, Myself, and Phillip Penza. 

In 2021 I got signed to my first record deal with “Ethika Music” also writing my first book “Guilty” which charted at #62 in the one hour – Thriller and suspense reads on Amazon Kindle, making me a published Author and making it in the Top one 100 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nothing in life is smooth, this has been a very long a tedious journey. It’s never easy when you are doing this industry, there are so many different people doing the same thing as you that are way better than you, and now because of 2022 and technology everyone is trying to do the same thing. So, you must find a way to “Stand Out” from the crowd. So yes, this is a very bumpy road, stay consistent and work hard, that’s what I’ve learned.

I’m a Singer, Songwriter, Dancer, Actor, Published Author, and Producer. I’m known for Fire and Rain 2019, Water 2019, Water 2, Peach Cobbler, and Boyz From The Streets 

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
I knew that a lot more artists would get creative and come up with ways to showcase their talents, that’s exactly what happened. Podcasts, Live Performances on social platforms.
