Today we’d like to introduce you to Wiff. Them and their team share their story with us below:
As front man, Peter Higgins’s former band was coming to an end, his 14-year-old son, Quinn, had come into his own as a rock drummer, so they decided to start a band together. They took the name of a solo project Peter had released in 2011: Wiff (named after his childhood cat). They began playing shows in the summer of 2019 and released an EP in the spring of 2021 entitled “Definitely in the Maybe Pile.”
After some early lineup changes, the band is now solidified with Wes Luna, formerly of standout Denver band The Photo Atlas, on bass and former Lollygags leader Jonathan Snyder on guitar.
Other notable bands that members have been a part of include Missing DuFrenes, The Good Gracious, and Stereoshifter.
Wiff has played with artist such as Aaron Gillespie (UnderOath, The Almost).
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
3 out of the 4 of us have been in different bands before Wiff. It’s only just begun!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We are post-garage indie rock from Denver, Colorado. Our biggest show we’ve had so far is opening for Aaron Gillespie of UnderOath.
What does success mean to you?
Happiness & fun! If you’re not having fun then what’s the point?!
