Rising Stars: Meet Audra Bridges of Colorado Springs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Audra Bridges.

Audra Bridges

Hi Audra, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Right out of college, I began my career at a production company, editing TV shows centered around true crime. One day, a friend and I were asked—last minute—to film a wedding. We pulled together our skills and created a beautiful wedding video, which we shared on social media. To our surprise, inquiries started pouring in for weddings, family portraits, and corporate headshots.

After about a year of consistently being asked to take on new projects, we made the bold decision to leave the production company and pursue our own business. And just like that, A&A Creative was born. We spent six years growing our business in Dallas, Texas, before I decided to follow my passion and relocate to Colorado to embrace the mountain lifestyle. Now, A&A Creative has officially expanded into Colorado Springs!

It’s incredible to think that we built a thriving business without even planning to—it all started with people believing in our work and taking a chance on us. I truly believe what sets us apart is our fun, energetic approach and passion for storytelling. We’re not your typical photographer and videographer—we create a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere on set, which helps bring out our clients’ most authentic selves in front of the camera. That natural, organic energy is what makes our work stand out.

It’s been an honor to be on this journey, and I’m excited to start fresh, build new connections, and serve the amazing community here in Colorado Springs. I’m hoping to grow in this new market and be able to create magic here in the mountains.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all—far from it! From being thrown into that first wedding video last minute to just last week, when I was on set in Portland for a corporate marketing shoot and had equipment fail mid-production, challenges are a constant in this industry. When you work with as much technology as we do, there’s always the potential for things to go wrong.

Beyond the technical hurdles, the transition to Colorado Springs has been more difficult than I anticipated. Building a client base in a new city takes time, and I’ve had to ask myself, Why would someone here hire me if they don’t even know who I am? The past eight months have been slower than I’d hoped, but I’m committed to building relationships and proving my value in this community. My goal is that by June 1, 2025—my one-year mark here—I’ll have a steady stream of recurring corporate and personal clients.

Every challenge has been a learning experience, and despite the obstacles, I’m excited about the growth and opportunities ahead.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a freelance photographer, videographer and video editor. With 10 years of experience in the industry, I have had the pleasure of working on a variety of projects ranging from TV shows to corporate videos.

I graduated from Stephen F. Austin University with a degree in Mass Communication and a minor in Advertising. I worked for the school newspaper as a Photographer and the Head Video Editor on staff. I then dabbled in radio as the Assistant Manager of KSAU 90.1. I was on a team that produced every home SFA sporting event for ESPN 3 and went on to work in production at Fox 26 news. After deciding broadcast news wasn’t for me, I settled in as an Assistant Editor at AMS Pictures before becoming a Junior Editor at AMS working on shows like Dallas Cakes on the Food Network, Murder Made Me Famous, Scandal Made Me Famous, and The Price of Fame on the REELZ Network. Separately, I’ve edited on House of What?! on the Earthx Network.

In addition to my TV experience, I am also skilled in creating show sizzles and talent reels, as well as corporate internal videos and social media videos. I’ve covered live events and created hype videos. I’ve even shot real-estate videos. I take pride in my ability to deliver high-quality video and photo content in a wide range of projects that always meets the needs and vision of my clients.

What truly sets me apart is my genuine kindness and unwavering commitment to every project I take on. No matter the size or scope, I pour my heart into my work and treat each project as a top priority. I believe that the best creative work comes from a place of passion and care, and I strive to make every client feel valued and heard.

How do you think about happiness?
The mountains are my happy place! There’s nothing better than being outside in the sunshine, surrounded by incredible views. I love hiking, mountain biking, and rock climbing—anything that gets me moving and immersed in nature. It makes me feel alive and appreciative of life and thats why it makes me so happy.
