Today we’d like to introduce you to Davy Crow.
Hi Davy, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
As far as I can remember I have always drawn, I had a foot in Art already very young when I started music at 6 years old which later became essential to my creative process, I compose my works in the same way that I compose my songs, I ended up making it my job to live from what I love and for what I love.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’m currently traveling this road and nn it’s not easy, in France artists are only recognized when they are in the gallery or when they are dead (lol).
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My style is halfway between comics and pop art.
I mainly work with Winsor & Newton pro-markers, with Posca and a little ink too. I think what sets me apart from other artists is my attention to detail and my ability to contrast disturbing and funny things.
What were you like growing up?
From a very young age, I have always been interested in Art, I started music at 6 years old and I started drawing as soon as I could hold a pencil.
I grew up in a family broken up by the divorce of my parents and with a father who only valued manual work, I ended up, growing up, expressing everything in my drawings.
