Rising Stars: Meet Elizabeth Foley of Loveland, Colorado

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth Foley.

Hi Elizabeth, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started my journey providing financial education to the general public and helping them understand credit scores, loans, and offering advice on which accounts would be the most beneficial.
I then graduated to working directly with high net worth individuals and providing wealth management. This allowed me to gain a vast knowledge of investment options and portfolio diversification.
Now I’m making the move to focus my coaching on an industry I’ve been fortunate to be a part of for the last 15 years- the tattoo industry.
My intent with Ink Capital Consulting (Ink Cap) is to provide financial education and guidance to a population that has been vastly underserved in the past.
I want this to be the way I leave tattooing better than I found it.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has been a long road to get to where I am now filled with a lot of hands on education and elective classes. I am always finding a way to expand my knowledge in the field of finance so I have the most up to date and pertinent information to provide to my clients. This is sometimes a little daunting given how quickly things change in the world. But, it is all worth it if it helps people reach their goals and obtain financial freedom!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I specialize in providing financial education to professionals in the Tattoo industry. I do one on one classes and also offer seminars for shops looking to improve their financial wellness and improve their money mindset. I also offer business overviews which include social media management and ensuring their reach is including the right audiences and displaying the intended message.

My most recent achievement is helping someone hit their goal of paying off their high interest credit cards which then allowed us to open a retirement account for them in addition to start saving for a new car. Prior to meeting with me, this person had 10’s of thousands of dollars in debt, no savings, and several accounts in collections. By working together, we were able to make sense of her financial picture and create achievable goals that are leading her to life where she isn’t just surviving. She is thriving!

The thing that sets me apart is the fact that I am doing this from a place of passion not profit. I meet with people who truly need my help and nothing makes me happier than seeing them succeed after so long of accepting their current circumstances. What truly makes my heart full is providing the motivation needed to lead people to financial freedom and a debt free life.

What matters most to you? Why?
The thing that matters the most to me is making a real difference. I have worked with high net worth individuals who are just wanting to buy their 3rd vacation home or their second yacht. That isn’t what lights my soul on fire. I want to help the mom who doesn’t know how she is going to afford her child’s school lunch or the person who is one slow week away from getting their car repossessed.
