Rising Stars: Meet epAdemyk of SW Michigan

Today we’d like to introduce you to epAdemyk.

Hi epAdemyk, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Apparently the story goes according to family members starting at a very early age I would tell everyone I wanted to be two things. A preacher and a rockstar. Ha, what a combo right? My mom put me in orchestra at a young age to which I transferred after a year into band. I began to write my own lyrics somewhere around 16 or 17 as well as making some instrumentals on a keyboard w/ a built in memory bank. Moving out to Colorado afforded me my first opportunity to record vocals and it’s been a contagious journey ever since.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not a smooth road and also not something I wouldn’t want to come easy in all honesty. When things are just handed to us it takes away from that final sense of accomplishment where you can look back and say… “That might have had some tough moments but I did that.”

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am an artist/creative that really enjoys the creation process not to mention that cherry on top moment when I get to share that creation with others. Currently I have a song title “Pardon”. Collectively it has amassed over 2.6 million hits which is absolutely insane and I pershiate each and every person that has tapped into this journey w/ me.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
A little quote I’ve come across in the recent years sums it up pretty nicely… “Sacrifice Your Attachment to Results…” Basically double down in the moment and enjoy the process. Definitely learn from the experience to improve but don’t base anything on the outcome or even come to a conclusion on the results. If everyone held on to that attachment for results not much would get done as everyone would quit after that first attempt.
