Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeremy Griggs
Hi Jeremy, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started Hammerhead Graphics with three things in mind; Precision, Passion, Integrity.
My journey into the world of vinyl started in 2012 working for a small shop in Gilbert, Arizona. I instantly fell in love with the craft and knew I had found my passion in life. Two years later, I moved to Colorado with that purpose in mind. Thus, on April 1st, 2014, Hammerhead Graphics was founded.
I continue to progress with innovation by seeking out the newest techniques, while creating my own. I give my clients only the highest quality installs with the best products available.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
For me personally, the biggest struggle was generating new clientele and staying consistently busy. For years, it was a series of ups, downs, trial and error. One of the biggest breakthroughs for me was getting fully 3M certified which means I am listed in the 3M database.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I offer a wide range of vinyl related services including; color changes, vehicle wraps, interior graphics, exterior graphics, commercial graphics, and paint protection film.
What I’m particularly known for is meticulous, high end color changes. Most shops & installers pass on these as there is a ton of time, effort and attention required. However, I learned on these harder wraps and love the challenge!
I’d have to say what I’m most proud of is being the second 3M Color change preferred installer in the US, and the only one in Colorado! This also consequently sets me apart from every other installer in the state.
I’d say another aspect that sets me apart is in depth, disassembly. In order to make a color change look as pristine as possible, a considerable amount of automotive knowledge is needed to remove door handles, trim, tail lights, and even bumpers. This is almost half of the job, and takes years of experience to do correctly!
How do you define success?
I think that success is measured in the quality of ones work, as well as the constant desire to improve and learn. Its knowing that you did a phenomenal job, yet you’re always seeking out new and better ways to innovate. This is the main reason I stay so passionate about what I do; I get excited every single time I get to work on a new car I’ve never done before, because its a new opportunity to learn!
