Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordon Lebsock.
Hi Jordon, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I got my first camera when I was 10 years old and fell in love with creating. I would make skate videos and lock myself in my room for hours at a time photographing droplets of water. My mom is a graphic designer so when I showed interest in creating, she would give me weekly Photoshop lessons as I was eager to learn.
When the pandemic hit, I spent my lockdown teaching myself color grading and editing. Toward the end of the lockdown, I traveled around in my car photographing anything and everything I saw. I am very passionate about creating art. Photography and cinematography are so enticing to me because I believe there’s always something to learn. I don’t feel like I will ever master it, and that’s what makes it so much fun to me.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has been a bumpy road. I’ve always known photography and cinematography doesn’t offer an easy path because there is no set path.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am most proud of my moody artwork. I am so passionate about creating in this style because I feel seen when someone can feel something I have put my heart into.
What were you like growing up?
I was always curious as a child, but stubborn.
I was determined to master everything I did first try, and would get discouraged when it inevitably didn’t happen. I can look back on this and laugh because I believe the best mentality to have in life is that of a student.
