Hi Matthew Riley Jenny Kelly, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
After so many years in the industry, and feeling how Covid completely changed the way salons operated. There was a shift happening, especially in the suite rental space as more and more stylists were wanting to get back into a salon. With the suite rental space quickly becoming devalued through inflation, we knew we could do things differently! In January of 2024 we sat down, and over a round of drink we decided that we filed our LLC online and it has been a whirlwind ever since. We quickly found a space we loved that already had great bones, got the keys in march and opened in June! LOTS of late nights and learning how to do all kinds of remodelling skills. Now more than a year on, we would not have done much differently. We love the beautiful space we created, and our ability to offer amazing value to our renters!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Does anything ever go as planned? There have been so struggle for sure as there will be with anything worth doing. Anyone who has ever own any type of business knows that there will always be something that “pops up” we are fortunate enough to have a strong relationship with each other and ability to communicate and navigate challenges as the arise.

During the buildout we had to remove an entire room and shower, then build a wall and add door. Learning how to install wallpaper was probably our favourite!

Well Salon Fusion was built to be the go-to hair salon in Colorado Springs, where clients can experience exceptional hair services provided by a team of talented professionals. From classic cuts and styles to trendy color transformations, we specialize in a wide range of hair services. We are dedicated to ensuring that every visit to Salon Fusion leaves you looking and feeling your best.

We also support local artist facilitating a gallery on our walls! The art is ever changing and for purchase! We designed our space to be modular so we can host or rent the space for events like classes or intimate fund raisers! We love being about to support our community.
