Today we’d like to introduce you to Meagan Giblin.
Hi Meagan, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Owner of The Beauty Boost Denver. The Beauty Boost is a community designed for women to feel empowered, healthy and beautiful. We do this through a variety of events ranging from empowerment workshops, fitness events, retreats, socials and more. We started in Ohio in 2015 and have since expanded to 18 cities.
I launched TBB Denver in August of 2021! I was a new mama looking for a way to connect with other like-minded women and I was headed back to work at the hospital as a nurse and wanted something uplifting and inspiring to focus on outside of my day job. I had been a member of the TBB community when I lived in Columbus and I wanted to create a similar space here in Colorado. Fast forward, TBB Denver is thriving hosting at least one signature event per month, gearing up for our first-weekend retreat in the mountains and very excited to start planning our 2023 year! When I began this journey a little over a year ago now, I never would have thought it could turn into something so big and so powerful. I have met the most incredible women through this community and am looking forward to connecting with so many more!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Even though I have had so much support from our Founder, other city owners, and the community here in Denver… it hasn’t been a smooth process over the last year. Time has been the hardest! Having the ability to sit down and focus on the ins and outs of event planning is tough, especially with a toddler, a full-time job outside of TBB, and still prioritizing family and friends. The never-ending follow-up emails and phone calls, social media planning, vendor outreach, and so on can take hours and hours. BUT, if life has taught me one thing, it’s that hard work pays off, and the connections I have made through this community and the relationships I have watched form over the last year are completely worth it.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
TBB started as a way to connect like-minded women. At our events, we focus on experiences and building relationships. We set up each event with all people participating in mind… we ask ourselves questions like how can we make this better for attendees? What can we do to help benefit the local businesses involved? How can we create a fun experience that women will remember?
Attendees can expect a variety of complimentary experiences at our events like mini massages, mini facials, sampling, local shopping, and more! In addition, we closely work with our vendors to help build relationships at our events and connect with our attendees on a deeper level.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Notion (Workspace) and Dubsado (CRM Portal) have been a lifesaver over the last year as TBB has organically expanded quickly!
I love listening/reading all things Jenna Kutcher.
