Bootstrapping the business meant constant juggling, always trying to stay ahead while feeling perpetually behind. It was a delicate dance, balancing the demands of growth with the reality of debt. Yet, despite the financial strain, my drive to succeed and love for the craft kept my spirit unbroken.

One of the most significant milestones in this journey was becoming a Community Care Provider for the Veterans Affairs (VA). As an Army veteran, this was more than just a business achievement—it was a profound personal honor. It allowed Ms. Nicky’s Body Shop to serve those who had served, offering them the gift of massage therapy and self-care. This service wasn’t just a job; it was a mission, a way to give back to fellow veterans, helping them find peace and relief through therapeutic touch.

Maintaining services in Colorado while establishing a new presence in New Jersey required tireless effort and frequent travel. It was challenging, but it also meant that the mission of Ms. Nicky’s Body Shop could continue to flourish in both places. Each new client, each session, was a step toward realizing the broader vision.

Looking ahead, my dream is to master the operations in both Colorado and New Jersey and then expand to other beloved places. Panama, my birthplace, and Costa Rica, envisioned as perfect locations for wellness retreats, are part of the long-term plan. My goal is to create sanctuaries of wellness and self-care, places where people can retreat and rejuvenate amidst natural beauty.
