Rising Stars: Meet Patsy Silver Cristofanilli of South Buffalo, NY

Today we’d like to introduce you to Patsy Silver Cristofanilli.

Hi Patsy Silver, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Many families are financially challenged and cannot afford to send their talented children to musical theater classes where they can sing, act or dance, as these classes are very expensive and are only affordable to families who have higher incomes. I established my studio for these struggling families to give these children a chance to enhance their talents by lowering my tuition so that it is affordable to let them shine!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it has not been a smooth road for me, financially, as I have had to take on a second job to pay most of the rent and utilities for the building that I rent.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I have been a professional singer, recording artist, and actor for many years. I have performed as a band in casinos, opened for many famous entertainers, played small rolls in films, traveled on tour, and recorded my first album in Nashville.
When my father passed away, I came back to Buffalo to care for my mother. I opened my first studio, and decided to go to college, where I graduated as an English major and obtained my principal certification.
I put together a local band, and worked in schools as well. I met my husband during this time, and he joined me as my bass player. He was formerly in the band, Ratt, during the 8O’s.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
