Rising Stars: Meet Sarah Lennon of Denver

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Lennon.

Hi Sarah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My husband and I set up Big Orange Planet over 20 years ago. We are a Denver Web Design & Development company, who build sites for both smaller businesses in word press, and also for larger companies with more complex needs (like ecommerce). Larger sites we build on our own content management system called Stempora (never been hacked, just saying). I am the creative director, I create all logos, branding and design all our web sites. I build the word press sites myself, our larger sites built on the stempora platform are handled by our developer Emanuel who we have been working with for nearly two decades! I also handle all our video production and animation. Recently I’ve become very excited with the potential of Augmented reality for our clients’ brand and loving playing in that.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not smooth at all! The finacial ebbs and flows of running a busness that ever changes is a whole other animal beyond the creative one

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My husband and buisness partnet Albert Lennon, who gets and manages all our projects. Hes navigating contantly between creative people and cleinst and deadlines, tough!
