Rising Stars: Meet Tanya Zislis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tanya Zislis. 

Hi Tanya, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I have been passionate about photography for over 10 years. I shot different things, but one day I realized that I wanted to shoot black and white photography. This year I completely immersed myself in the black and white world. I love to shoot portraits of women and children. 

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My road is like a roller coaster. Sometimes I’m a genius. 

Sometimes I’m a failure but it all helps me grow as a photographer. 

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a photographer. I photograph women and children, as well as families and food. I like to take simple yet deep photographs. I love taking pictures of women without makeup and showing their natural beauty. 

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
