Rising Stars: Meet Tristen Vieaux of Evergreen

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tristen Vieaux.

Hi Tristen, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My life was at a crossroads back in 2015. I found myself disconnected from my body after being diagnosed with infertility and in a high stress season of my career… I was in a self-care and self-esteem desert! At 40 years old, I couldn’t touch my toes and winded climbing a single flight of stairs. I felt something stir within whispering, “there must be more to this life”. I went online, found a local yoga studio and attended a class. As I rolled out the yoga mat and landed, what felt like, my first real breath in many years, I felt something I had not felt in many years…..calm. From that moment, I dove into a journey of healing and became a student of all things, me. Through this self-exploration, I found in the midst of these unexpected paths the courage to begin to follow my heart. Chara Yoga and Wellness Collaborative was birthed through my own experiences and passion to help other women identify potential obstacles and long-standing thought and behavioral patterns that may no longer fit. Yoga and Behavioral Health Therapy can support growth to live more fully, reduce stress, anxiety, and find new ways to navigate major life transitions in powerful new ways. As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Yoga Therapist, I combine my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology alongside with my training as a, Certified Menopause Coach and Licensed Trauma and Somatic Mental Health Therapist to curate spaces dedicated to the quieting of the mind, developing deeper spiritual connection, and gathering a deeper connection to self and living with authenticity. I personally experience authenticity and finding deeper connections as, falling on my face, dusting myself off, taking risks, and at times failing and trying again!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
What is a smooth road other than a rocky path that someone came ahead of me and paved the way with their own sweat and courageous vision and risks!

Things get exciting and real when there are new roads to pave.
My obstacles that I work every day to challenge-
Self doubt, fear and operating from a place of scarcity.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am most proud of stepping out of my comfort zone and taking risks to let me work be read, viewed and experienced by others.
I wrote and published a book of poetry which also featured one of my paintings on the cover the beginning of 2025 which felt really vulnerable and was so glad did!

I started Chara “ pronounced “ Hara”Yoga and Wellness Collaborative in the Fall of 2023. The vision came from a passion to create safe and healing spaces for women and adolescent girls who have become estranged from their bodies due to events of trauma, disordered eating and long lasting cultural narratives that repressed.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
