Rising Stars: Meet Vinh Nguyen of Coeur D’Alene

Today we’d like to introduce you to Vinh Nguyen.

Hi Vinh, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started working for other nails salon before I have started business on my own. I realized that many of them lack of essential good customer services and quality of work. The way they manage the salon is not the right point to do good business in long term. With experiences of working for so many nails salons and keep learning from eveday working experience I ultimately realize that we need to make something big difference. Asking every customer feedback after using our nails services and make sure they are satisfied with the services we provide. More over having a high visible location is an advantage point to attract more customers but quaility of work and good customer service are the most important things to keep customers be loyal with our business. Also, Solving customer issues plays an important role as well to make the business getting better. One of the most hardest things is to find good skillful nail technicians to do good nails services so I keep inspiring our employees to be trained and always up to date new nail trending everyday to keep up with the nail industry development. Keep refreshing yourself and be creative is the key to succeed

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Its really hard when you started at first. Especially in the customer services field while you have to work with so many different customers daily, and surely not all customers are the same . So being nice and recruiting skillful nail technicians is very important to keep customers coming back to our shop. However, each of our employees doesn’t have same capability. They might be good at this skill but a little bit low capability on other nails services. So we need to understand the pros and cons of each employee to make sure we assign right nail tech for each type of customer

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We do nail and headspa services. We mostly do manicures and pedicures and we just introduce new services called Headspa to bring new experiences to customers that many of them never try before. We are the first one to pioneer the Headspa and just like full service salon to make sure customers have all they need in one place. We have biggest number of employees than others competitors. We have the most color choices for customers as well

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Risk taking is to identify yourself to handle all obstacles in life. Just do it and take risk to make you stronger and more confidence in future. I used to get failure in business before but its not make me feel afraid of doing something new. Getting failure just get me more valuable lessons and make me more confident to overcome challenges and experience
