Hi Alicia, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day are the quiet workitime minutes…I am fresh and ready to think through my day. The first 90 minutes is generally when I do my website work, write newsletters, dream up new classes and camps. The quiet of the day is when I do my best work. I have always been an early riser- I love watching the sun come up with a dachshund on my lap.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
The Sew-it-All Studio is a cozy little studio located in Littleton Colorado. The central location is close to C470 and Broadway – just minutes from Downtown Littleton, Highlands Ranch, Columbine, Ken Caryl, Parker, Roxborough, Sterling Ranch, Castle Rock, Lone Tree and Centennial.
Sew-it-All is the place to learn, to enjoy yourself, to meet like-minded people, and to create something meaningful.
Alicia Pucci is a true “Sew-it-All.” And she is delighted to be teaching Littleton to sew. Alicia’s background includes a degree in Clothing and Textiles from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, costume design and construction in New York City, hobby sewing, custom sewing and teaching. With over 30 years of professional sewing experience, Alicia is a true Sew-it-All!
Believe it not, Alicia also taught Home Economics for 17 years in the California public schools! It is apparent to all Alicia’s sewing students that she is passionate and dedicated to passing on her talents. Her young-at-heart attitude and positive disposition eases many fears and frustrations about sewing. There has never been a student who was not a success under Alicia’s guidance.
When Alicia is not teaching, she can be found walking her dachshunds, exploring colorful Colorado with her family or watching her children race BMX bikes.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
I am grateful to have taught public school for 17 years in Sonoma County California. Learning to be a teacher has served me in so many ways. I take my teacher role seriously and feel it is my responsibility to adapt to each students learning style. Teaching also has made me a better communicator.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
One of the most challenging times at Sew-it-All, Littleton was reviving the business after COVID. It forced me to open the spectrum of classes and market to different age groups of students. I create Fashion Camp for the summer and I love seeing students come back every summer. I have, inadvertently, become a role model and mentor to all the students. I love this role!

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
If I retired tomorrow, customers would not only miss learning how to sew, but they would miss the camaraderie of the sewing studio. I always say, sewing is not just about the sewing. The Studio is a place to gather, to work, and to feel included. Everyone has always been welcomed at the Studio.
