Story & Lesson Highlights with Dayna Baird of Littleton

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Dayna Baird. Check out our conversation below.

Dayna, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Integrity – it’s the foundation of trust. Without it, nothing else holds. To me, integrity means doing the right thing even when no one is watching- being honest, consistent, and accountable in every decision and action. At the end of the day, skills and talent matter, but without integrity they’re meaningless. It’s the non- negotiable quality that guides how I live, lead and build my business.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Dayna, the founder and owner of FIVE10 Brow & Beauty in Littleton. I grew up in a small farming community where beauty and self-care weren’t really a focus, and when I went to school for my profession, most people around me didn’t even know what it was. Being young and ambitious, I wanted more—I craved city life and the opportunities it could bring. I still remember moving to Denver in the winter and seeing the steam rising from the manholes downtown. I thought to myself, “Wow, a real city—I finally did it!”
The transition wasn’t easy. Moving here was a huge adjustment, but it shaped me in ways I’ll never forget. Over time, I’ve built connections with so many amazing people, and today I’m proud to call Littleton my home. Outside of work, I find the most joy in spending time with my little family and enjoying lake days with our friends. Those moments, surrounded by the people I love, remind me why I work so hard and keep me grounded in what matters most.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who taught you the most about work?
I’ve taken countless courses on top of my licensing to get to where I am today. In our industry, things are always changing—new techniques, new products, new technology—so it’s important to stay educated and ahead of the curve. My esthetics teacher, Ms. Elizabeth, also inspired me early on to keep pushing myself and continue growing in this industry. Her influence showed me that learning doesn’t stop once you graduate—it’s something you carry with you throughout your career.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self: You are smart, you are worthy, and even when life feels heavy—you have to keep going. Every challenge is a lesson in disguise, and even when it feels like you’re falling short, you’re growing in ways you can’t yet see. You won’t be perfect—and you don’t have to be. Trust that everything is unfolding exactly as it’s meant to. There are higher powers at work, guiding you even when you don’t realize it.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Whose ideas do you rely on most that aren’t your own?
I rely on a mix of influences.I listen to various inspirational coaches on podcasts, which keep me motivated and focused on growth. My husband has been a huge influence as well—his support, perspective, and encouragement remind me to keep going, even when things get tough. And of course, I lean on my team at FIVE10—their ideas and creativity constantly push me to see things differently and lead with more intention.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m surrounded by nature and the people I love. Whether it’s spending time by the water, sharing quiet moments, or enjoying laughter with friends, those experiences bring me joy and a deep sense of calm.
