Levia, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: When was the last time you felt true joy?
I recently went to Florida for a conference. Meeting with new people and networking was a great experience.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am a former foster child, and an
author, Crown Up.
I bravely shares my story of resilience and hope.
Through my public speaking she discusses women empowerment, self-image and love. I hope to one day create a non-profit organization and make a difference in my community.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I was a scared little girl grew up in poverty. I was always in survival mode; constantly searching for food and shelter.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
In my teenage year of high school. I started writing in my journal, telling my own story.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
Right now, I’ll say my book. I have invested a lot of time and money on it. I believe in and no matter how long it takes I still believe in it because “a change is worth fighting for.”
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Definitely my 9_5 job. I’d travel more and enjoy life.
