Story & Lesson Highlights with Rachel Weinstock of Centennial

Rachel Weinstock shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Good morning Rachel, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
I like to wake up earlier than needed so I can enjoy a cup of coffee before the chaos of the day begins. Most of my life I was a “sleep until you absolutely have to get up” kind of gal, but the last two years have changed. My favorite part of this routine is that my daughter began waking early with me to get some snuggles in before her day as well. It is now the time of day I look forward to most.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am a Holistic Nutritionist, Wellness Coach and Personal Trainer. Before breaking into the health and fitness arena, I got my bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications with a minor in Business Marketing from Towson University. My own personal nutrition and fitness journey is what brought me to the passion of helping others through food, lifestyle habits and movement. I created my company, B Well Holistic Nutrition in 2020 to be a guide, an educator and partner for people looking to improve their relationship with food. There is so much information available, but it is overwhelming to know what will work for your unique body so that’s where I come in. Everything I do is tailored to my clients’ individual tastes, lifestyle, goals and routines.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
There are many people who have championed me and supported me through my life, but one that sticks out is my husband. When I went to him and said I wanted to become a Holistic Nutritionist, he simply said “you should do it!” He listened as I dreamed it out and discussed what it would look like to walk away from my successful marketing business. His unwavering support of my career is what still gets me through when I have doubts that creep in.

What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
Awhile back I had a close family member try to destroy my life both personally and professionally; it was the craziest situation I’ve ever experienced. As it all unfolded, I was forced to either crumble or rise up, and I had incredible people around me that helped me rise. Not only was I able to overcome the horrible damage she did, but I’ve come out stronger in all ways. My life is abundant and growing now, but the toll that this situation took on my confidence is something I’m still working on. The wounds are healing through therapy, so much self reflection, and constantly working to learn and grow. So much of my Wellness Coaching stems from my very own experience just like this one. Things that help me are the go-to tools I teach and educate people on. While this particular situation with the family member is a forever scar, it is something I get to use to help others which I think is true healing.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes. As I’ve created my brand, my business and my clientele, the most important aspect is authenticity. My website discusses how I have my own autoimmune condition and have overcome health and wellness things. I also share openly who I am, my passion and my desire to help others. That passion has been there all my life and I believe the people who’ve met me would tell you the same.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
I would home school my kids so that I didn’t have to be away from them as much. I’d want to create a fun learning environment that incorporated the outdoors and real world experiences that would carry them through life.
