Story & Lesson Highlights with Tairee Dillard

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Tairee Dillard. Check out our conversation below.

Hi Tairee, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What is a normal day like for you right now?
Right now I wake up I figure out what I’m going to eat for Breakfast I go to Fifth coffee in five points I read a couple comic books while I’m there then I pull out my laptop and I start writing for a comic book I’m writing

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My names Tairee Dillard I’m a stand up comedian or comedian in general

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I’ve always been myself I told the world who I was and the world had to accept it or choose not to but it doesn’t stop me from being myself

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering will teach you that everything someone says to you isn’t always what you need to hear but what you want to hear suffering will show you how much someone is in your corner and how much they just act like they are I think it’s more beneficial than success because it will tell you exactly where things are with people

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
For the most part yes you have to keep some things sacred and to yourself but what you see is what you get

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What light inside you have you been dimming?
Childhood and joy the older I get the less people seem to care about things like Christmas or even your birthday not even realizing you look forward to those things not even for the gifts how often do you get to see all of your family except on holidays? As far as birthdays it’s like man i know I’m getting older but that’s an accomplishment some people didn’t get to make it this far and that’s what should be celebrated because life is short and we don’t determine when the last time we will see someone is so we should love them while they are here as well as when they are gone
