We’re looking forward to introducing you to Terra Leone. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Terra, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: Are you walking a path—or wandering?
Yes. I’m absolutely walking the path and wandering. The most joy filled path often appears to meander; it’s never a straight line. Choosing joy requires deep trust and intuition. My path leads me over hills and through woods, into places I couldn’t have planned. As Tolkien wrote, “Not all those who wander are lost.” In fact, wandering is sometimes the truest way forward.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m the Director of Design for the House of Greentree, where I oversee the entire creative process, from conception to completion. I attend photoshoots when needed to shape the vision, manage the administrative details, planning, and create the artwork itself. My work is deeply intuitive and symbolic. At heart, I’m a multidimensional visual artist whose pieces serve as both map and mirror. I guide others while reflecting something sacred from within.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
A moment that changed me was realizing that beauty isn’t something you find. It’s something you create. I stopped searching outward for validation and began making art that honored what I already carried within. That shift from seeking to expressing reshaped everything.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
Pain can be powerful, especially when it’s witnessed and transmuted. I don’t suppress it; I alchemize it. Sacred Rage can be a clarifying force, a catalyst for transformation. When pain is fully integrated, it becomes a wellspring of strength, clarity, and compassion.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
They’d say, “Learning is an adventure!” I’m deeply curious and always seeking to grow. I care about kindness, truth, creative exploration, and finding meaning in everything. I love discovering new ideas and even more, I love sharing them.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
That it all came easily. I have an incredible amount of freedom in my life, but it was earned through intention, risk, and a deep trust in the unknown… and in myself. I’ve “jumped off the cliff” more times than I can count. It’s thrilling, but often terrifying.
I want others to understand that joy is a valid compass. The things that excite and scare you at the same time? That’s usually where you’re meant to go.
My legacy isn’t about prestige or hoarding knowledge. I’m not a gatekeeper I’m a guide. I share what I’ve learned so others can carve their own paths with greater freedom, trust, and courage.
