Carm, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My Story, Carm OSullivan, Heart to Heart Medium.
I was told by I was a healer all my life, by many people. When I was very young, I felt the spirit, however, I blocked it feeling I wasn’t like everyone else. The reality of what my intuitive and physical abilities meant wasn’t introduced to me until I found Reiki. It was then, I truly understood my gifts. After becoming a Reiki Master, I became a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner. This modality is bio-energetic energy, created by nurses, which allowed me to work with the sick and dying in hospitals for 5 years. As my healing work expanded, so did my physic (past, present, future seer) and mediumship (connecting to spirit and loved ones who have passed) abilities. I’ve worked with advanced mediums John Holland, Joe Shiel, and Janet Nohavec to heighten my connections to spirit and the Divine.
I am a Christian-based healer and enjoy working with all faiths, as well as non-believers. My faith has no boundaries.
As an evidential medium, I paint a picture of a loved one, and how they died. I specialize with widows, widowers, and parents who have lost a child to suicide, or other ways. I also connect to my client’s higher self to find out what he or she is missing in their life today, what they are struggling with, and how a new road or path can be created for a more peaceful and fulfilled life. I softly direct my clients to a better way of living a more self-fulfilled and heart-based life. I offer classes that teach people how to live in their heart center, trust their intuition, and mediumship training that has an emphasis on ethics and the sacredness of this work.
My beautiful God-given gifts allow me to understand and know that we are all connected energetically, and our hearts have the ability to heal themselves. My heart work is my passion and I believe my clients are brought to me by the Divine Creator/Source. If someone is seeking a connection to a loved one, has lost, or feels a need to connect to their own heart, I will guide them on their connection to spirit and self-journey.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I love this question because there are always obstacles in all life’s jobs. The obstacles I have faced are a few. I lost friends from judgment of certain people who don’t understand this work and think “it’s the work of the devil”. The validations I get are amazing and I truly know I make a difference in people’s lives who come see me. Also, I have to get out of my own way trusting the messages I receive from above and you really coming from nothing and trusting your own skills. I have been giving such strange messages that I repeat to the client and hold my breath waiting to see if they understood what was being communicated.
95 percent is validated in my reading. Being a medium/psychic is a trusting process in which every time you read you have to be ok with being wrong. Your ego needs to be checked at the door and learn your signs and symbols and communication languages so you can paint that amazing picture your client needs. I do the medium work not for the client in front of me who happens to be paying but I am working for the spirits above who I am meeting halfway.
They have to lower their energy to talk to me as well as I have to go up in a higher vibration to have that communion of the souls.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
This work is all about Ethics, and holding the sacred ground for healing to occur through words or hands-on healing.
I hold the space for my client’s healing to occur and I am not a healer per se but a conduit for their higher good. I always work in the light and I have found some mediums/psychics work in fear and also prey on the idiosyncrasies of the client. I am highly ethical and my clients are my greatest advertising. They tell their friends and families and I am booked out always at least 3 weeks to a month. I keep my prices reasonable and my clients always leave typically with a smile on their faces and a paradigm shift of how they see death from a session. If I can help alleviate grief and sadness from a person’s being even a little bit I have done my job. I am here to demystify death and through reading that energy does not die but our loved ones are only a thin veil away. Per Einstein energy does not dissipate but converts and the soul is all energy and everything in this world is energy. The understanding of energy helps with this practice.
I am known for hard evidence., eg, names of their loved ones, stories, and memories brought forth, how they died, bringing forth their personality, and sometimes drawing their faces. I err on the side of love and always bring humor and laughter to the reading. Most of the spirits I talk to bring a little humor to the table. I had a grandfather talk about his smelly feet, to a father who had passed on to give his daughter a jar of pickles. In life, he teased her about her pickle fetish. I am always amazed at what happens during a reading.
I have also started a podcast discussing resiliency via the heart, and conversations with people who grew from their darkness.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
I have learned that I am not afraid of death and know for sure that our time on this earth is short so live a good life and always err on the side of love because it is always about love at the end of life. That is what I have seen through the spirits who come forth and they always bring messages of healing, apologies, and more.
