Hi David, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Back in college, I was struggling to really figure out what I wanted to do with my life, so I started to freelance and manage social media accounts for clients. Little did I know this would turn out to be the start of Pneuma Media.
I freelanced for a few years and, after graduating, took Pneuma full-time. We went from essentially a few thousand dollars / mo in revenue to pushing $2m in revenue this year in right around 24 months.
I essentially say that entrepreneurship found me / God put entrepreneurship on the map for me and opened that door. It was never something I was considering (was actually looking into finance as a career!) but the door to entrepreneurship was opened early and I never looked back.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has NOT!
I’d say it’s been difficult in ways I wouldn’t have expected (and actually easier in many other ways).
Getting clients, building the brand, hiring – those were some of the things I figured would be much more difficult than they really were.
The tough parts were actually managing personal relationships, fighting self-doubt, and really getting into a mental place where I knew I could achieve what I wanted in the world of business.
The hardest part for me was more of a mental game than anything.

We specialize in content-focused website design and SEO. What that means is, we believe content (like this) rules the world. Our goal is to create website and SEO strategies that focus heavily on content marketing and content strategies to help businesses grow their organic footprint in local areas.
We love working with small to medium-sized businesses that have localized business models, such as a roofer or a plumber or an electrician. Those businesses are often the ones in the most need of good marketing and equally, the ones that many of our competitors overlook!
We are known for quick timelines, strong results, and better communication. We essentially because an in-house team, an extension of your own company, and share the same goals and incentives you do.
I would love for readers to know about our overall focus on ROI. We use all of the tactics listed above (comms, content, etc) to really drive an impactful ROI to the bottom line. On average, our clients see an 8x ROI.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
For me personally, success is whenever the assets that I own (businesses, real estate, etc.) can passively pay for the lifestyle I’d like to live.
My goal is to essentially remove money from the equation as quickly as possible, so 1, I never have to worry about it and 2, I can focus my time on more impactful items that might not have nearly as quick of a payback period (re; how long it takes for me to get my money back)
