What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?

Sometimes a key moment can make a world of difference in our lives. Those moments are deeply underrepresented in our conversations relative to the importance they play in our lives. We hope to begin to remedy that below.

A moment that helps me shape how I see the world is when I started my own wedding dress shopping for my own wedding back in 2016. Seeing how expensive the gowns were made me feel really discouraged and undeserving. It made me feel “less than” I quickly was uninterested in shopping out at local boutiques because of how expensive and limited every store was. Read more>>

As a child, I would spend hours poring over stacks of old National Geographic magazines. Those pages opened up entire worlds—ancient cities rising out of ruins, sunken treasure being recovered from the sea, tribal rituals from cultures far removed from my own, maps of places I’d never been, and mysterious objects whose stories begged to be uncovered.
