Meet Jason Leeper of Kreation Films

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason Leeper.

Hey Guys, My Name is Jason Leeper and I started Kreation Films. Creating engaging videos has been in my blood for years as I’ve had a camera in my hands since I was a little guy. From filming my mom showing horses, barley able to keep the camera steady to now owning my own business and operating full time as a creator. I found my passion for filming around 2006 when I began filming my friends ride and race dirt bikes and putting together short videos that I got to share with a handful of people at the time.

My talent to create stood out in my work and people started liking the videos I was creating, I began to create more and more, elevating my skillset with each video I produced. As I got more involved into the industry, I started picking up side gigs and took this hobby of mine and turned it into a passion. In 2012 I sold one of my prized Dirt Bikes to upgrade my equipment and started diving deeper into creative world of videography. I landed myself some pretty cool gigs from filming at James Stewarts Compound in Florida to capturing live concert footage with Snoop Dogg and even filmed some content featuring Griz in his home studio for Native Roots. It seemed as each opportunity kept presenting itself to do cooler and cooler video projects. In 2017 I took Kreation Films full time and its been a wild ride since.

I pride myself and my company to be able to film anything and to make each video cooler than the last. From fast-paced Motocross racing to watching hemp grow in the fields of Colorado. I’m able to take my creative talent into any industry and help businesses grow their image. I don’t create for myself, I create for my audience and that’s been the biggest drive to continue making magical content to be shared for years!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The struggle is real, not going to lie. I love to create, I love to envision a video that is creative yet effective. Ive found myself working with a bunch of local Colorado Companies and that’s been amazing. I’ll tell you this, it beats working for someone else any day of the week. Even when business is slow, I wouldn’t want to do anything else!

Kreation Films – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Kreation Films does it all, specializing in creative handcrafted content that tells a story without even saying a word. I pride myself on finding the angles to capture a scene and put together a video from nothing. What sets Kreation Films apart from most media companies is my creative eye. I’m able to film and capture just about anything. From fast-paced action sports, construction-based videos, to music videos, to the cannabis industry. If you can think it, I can create it!

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was just a small-town farm boy. Traveling the country with my mom as she showed world-class quarter horses all over the United States. Living on a Ranch in the back 40 of the rocky mountains, I had a lot of time to myself and I had a huge imagination, which I feel is why I’m so good at what I do today. At about the age of ten, I fell in love with Dirt Bikes and began racing at age 12. I didn’t have many friends in school, rather finding myself making life long friends in the motocross world. Till this day, most everyone I grew up racing with are still friends and we still ride moto together on the weekends.
