Today we’d like to introduce you to K LOU.

Hi K, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’m KLOU a 25 year old talent from Louisville, Ky. I moved out to Denver Colorado in spring 2014 to pursue my desires in audio engineering. To provide for that dream I started working multiple jobs and talents to finance my schooling. It was working the graveyard shift that I realized how big, bright, and beautiful the moon was in the Mile High City. This birth the concept of LOUNRTRIBE. Our motto: We create the tides others ride. We are elements that learn, uplift, and love the positive collectives on the planet. We may be viewed from afar as small unique individuals or even slept on. But our presence is still felt through the highest and lowest of tides. Keep Lifting Others Up Keep Loving Others Unconditionally This sparked my creativity to start drawing different characters with different backgrounds that represent this very motto and placed them on clothing I’ve personally designed.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The struggles of being a young adult adjusting to a new city and lifestyle is definitely a challenge. Plus working and schooling had a hold on my social life. I found it a challenge to find authentic people that were serious about building healthy relationships and networks outside of their long term family & friends. This made it difficult to find a production company that could provide that quality that my brand deserved. It wasn’t until I found All Star Ink who not only applied my vision of affordable fashion but put their touch of high quality on my product as well. I can honestly say the friendships that I have developed have been with Denver’s finest.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I consider myself a creative within the arts. I am a designer, dancer, singer, model, illustrator & boss lady. I specialize in bringing my raw spunky vibe into everything I do and this is what I’m most proud of. I’m going to be realistic and say I’m human and have bad days like everyone else but I worked hard to charge that energy into something creative, productive, & positive.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I believe staying optimistic in the Highest is all the luck I need. By having this mindset has allowed a lot of opportunities to come my way. From unexpectedly meeting award winning celebrities who embrace Lounrtribe to engaging with local leaders that are making pivotal impacts on the community every day. It has also allowed clarity to what is meant for me and what is toxic in my life. Till this day I give all praise to the Highest for everything grace of luck that has come my way.
