Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeremy Parks.
Hi Jeremy, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
As a third-generation artist, I began fine art instruction in grade school. In my early teens, I started experimenting with a graphic design program my art teacher had in her office, CorelDraw. I became instantly hooked on how quickly ideas could be created compared vs. the traditional route. In 1994 I started building websites on GeoCities and haven’t touched paint or pastels since.
My digital curiosity led me to building websites full time in 1997, for the Star-Herald in Western Nebraska. When the itch struck to leave Nebraska, I moved to studying Computer Science in Laramie, Wyoming. That only lasted a semester. Right before Y2K hit, I left school and moved to Fort Collins to find better work.
For five years, I worked for a supplements and vitamin company where I developed digital products and managed websites. In 2005, I met my first business partner and shifted my focus to servicing hundreds of businesses. For the next five years, we concentrated on website development and digital printing.
In 2009, I joined Sage Marketing Group and helped build out their digital and web offerings, creating dozens of custom WordPress sites for local clients. In 2017, I left Sage to start another marketing company with my wife. Nine years later, we’re still growing. We thank our clients, standardization and systems for this.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Relying on technology has always come with its challenges, the changes to devices, browsers, and the web are constant. To benefit from positive trends, we review and vary our software and cloud services, ongoing.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My main role is overseeing web development for Branded Pixel, our DBA. We have built more than 500 websites and are known for our expertise in WordPress. We support clients around the world with their online presence and ecommerce stores. Our parent company, Your Imprint, was founded in 2017 and focuses on local business consulting, marketing, and digital workflows.
