Conversations with the Inspiring Bibianna X

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bibianna X.

Bibianna, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I was born and raised in Madagascar. I started professionally singing back in 2009 in Dakar, Sénégal but didn’t really stay consistent until 2016, years after moving to the USA. I’ve always had the passion and drive for music and always knew who I wanted to become since I was a little girl. All I needed to get started was the availability and access to technology, plus another individual that believes in me, which I happened to find in the US. I got to where I am today because someone believed in me at the beginning and many others continue to do so today. It’s all about team effort and continuous hard work.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road and there’ll always be challenges to face, especially when you’re figuring out things on your own. In music, the biggest struggle for myself was finding the people that wanted to hear what I had to say and being able to relate to what was once my story.

For my young women, believe in yourself and always stay consistent in whatever you do. Find your support system and treat everyone on your team with respect.

Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I’m a singer-songwriter.

Do you have a lesson or advice you’d like to share with young women just starting out?
Be confident, speak up for yourself, stay consistent, and know who/what deserves your time & attention.
