Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabriela Krebsbach.
Gabriela, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I had the realization that entrepreneurship was the path for me because I realized I was unique but also very unconventional… I was dysfunctional at doing the norm. I was always too late, not dressed “appropriate”, disinterested/board, etc. Getting my GED in 2017, I started tapping more into myself and what my true desires were. Yoga, Spirituality, Veganism, living a holistic life, and thrift /conscious fashion! I decided to go to school for a trade vs. going to college for four years (partially because I couldn’t get into college and also, because I had a gypsy lifestyle I wanted to pursue and four years doing the same thing in the same environment with expensive tuition sounded far from my ideal reality… my parents were not surprised at all by my decision and supported my choice to go to Esthetics school. I went to Esthetics school (600 hrs), got hands-on training, passed state boards and became a licensed esthetician. During school, I also got my yoga teacher training certification which was a 200 hr program I did one weekend a month for four months. I had never taken my studies so seriously in my entire life, but that’s how I knew I was passionate and determined. Summer 2018 is when I got connected to my business the Good Vibe Mafia via the Law of Attraction. At the time, I was beginning to model and reached out and later did a photoshoot for Good Vibe CBD. We were in the very beginning phase, but a few months went by we got a storefront in Denver, established who our core team was, each of us with our own unique talents in charge of different departments of our company. I had just turned 21 and was beginning my path of being a girl boss and working for a percent of owning multiple companies. Alongside my new found best friends/sisters and mentor, we hustled every day. Doing whatever it took to survive and run the shop. Hard work and being aligned with my people of value is how I got to where I am today. I am seriously just stoked to continue evolving and leveling up!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The universe will always provide for you if you are conscious plus hustling, but that doesn’t mean myself or anyone else is invincible from hard times. At the beginning of learning sales and cold calls, I really struggled because I was just finding my voice and got anxiety talking to people (especially selling) this was all due to lack of confidence and experience. Practice plus educating myself on CBD helped me build my confidence and begin to come out of my shell and start to become the boss I wanted to be. My advice to other women starting out is to not be too hard on yourself but you need to push yourself to get to the next level. Don’t be static, make moves every day.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into Good Vibe CBD, Good Vibe Mafia Shoppes, GVM studios story. Tell us more about it.
Every day is a bit different depending on if we are traveling working trade shows, pop up events or if I am in a new city going out on sales calls. Usually, I am at our storefront the Good Vibe Mafia Shoppes educating our customers on the benefits of CBD and the multiple ailments CBD can help heal (there aren’t many CBD questions I haven’t heard). While managing the shop, I also make calls to get us new wholesale accounts helping spread our brand on a national level.
During the week, I teach multiple Buti Yoga/tribal Vinyasa style classes.
I also model and help with creative direction for photoshoots. Another project I am currently working on is helping develop the ingredients in our new CBD skincare line, using my esthetics education and product knowledge.
Do you have any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general? What has worked well for you?
