Thanks for sharing your story with us Kayla. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
KW Co was birthed out of a huge discomfort for where my life was and a longing to go after what I dreamt it to be. There have been few moments in life where I have had total clarity. One day sitting at my office job, it dawned on me, what I was doing was working but I wasn’t what I truly wanted from life. One of my favorite quotes of my twenties has been “there is nothing more pathetic than caution, when headlong might save a life, even, possibly, your own.” Mary Oliver’s words have been cemented in my brain for the last few months and propelled me forward to start the big journey of KW Co.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Starting a business has been risky, life-giving and exposing. One of my biggest obstacles has been moving past the big bully in my brain that tells me I can’t do it. My biggest critique has always been myself. I show up daily to shovel perfectionism and self-doubt to the side and soak my mind with positivity self-talk. My advice to women on the early journey of dream- catching would be, that you too can do it. You are powerful, wise and have skills the world needs. Don’t let the inner critic win.

What should we know about Kayla Winten Co? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am a web designer, landing page experience obsessor and Google analytics junkie. I love drooling over dreamy designs but am mostly interested in how they can make my clients money! Anyone can have a pretty website but having one that serves your business goals is essential. I spend my time putting together websites that align aesthetically with brands but also are strategic in turning website visitors into customers. I make sure all my sites are equipped with analytics so that when the time comes to dive into the data, it is there to serve you.

Do you have a lesson or advice you’d like to share with young women just starting out?
To display to the world that women are strong, loving, fierce, generous, relentless and feminine. To not second-guess ourselves, to speak and act with confidence, to go after what we dream, to support each other along the way. But mostly to be the fullest, biggest, deepest expression of ourselves.
