Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a small business has it’s ups and downs, struggles, doubt, insecurities, and challenges. For me personally, those ups and downs is what fueled me to only get better. I never looked at those struggles as a hinderance. If I couldn’t do it, I wouldn’t say no and go around it, I would find a way to go through it. The biggest thing I’ve learned in my 12 years of owning my own business is creating those around me that challenge me, support me and work together with me. I strongly believe in community over competition.

We are a boutique Full-Service Design and Planning company. Our experience is designed to help you relax, knowing that your event will be all you ever imagined.

What do you feel are the biggest barriers today to female leadership in your industry or generally?
I think women are held to higher standards therefore we feel we have to prove ourselves more. Which in my opinion, I’m ok with that. I never want to hold back and wait for my achievements to be noticed. Speak up and show what you’re good at. Demonstrate how you meet the standards and exceed them.
