Has it been a smooth road?
I don’t think life is meant to be a smooth road. We are all here on this earth to experience different challenges, and those obstacles all make us who we are today.
Some personal challenges I have had to face; being totally broke, struggling with body issues, deciding on a sustainable career path and relationships that we’re not good for me.
My advice: Always be true to who you are, find something you love to do in life and give 110%, travel, learn, grow and always keep an open mind.
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I work for a luxury spirits company, freelance write, and on-camera host.
I am also a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher and Reiki practitioner.
I am an advocate for life balance, and bringing zen, beauty, and simplicity to everyday life to make more time and space for what’s important to you- I think that sets me apart. Sometimes, people think you can’t go from something like Kundalini Yoga to Corporate America. It’s all a mindset.
What do you feel are the biggest barriers today to female leadership, in your industry or generally?
I think as women, we sometimes label ourselves and our roles, which leads to barriers. We need to think outside of the box, stop the negative self-talk, keep learning & growing and team up with other like-minded females for optimal growth.
I truly admire groundbreakers that think outside the box and are paving the way for other women.
