Conversations with the Inspiring Lynn Given

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lynn Given.

Lynn Given balances many roles in her life and strives to be an inspiration to others. She is a devoted mother and wife, an inspirational speaker, coach, author, real estate investor, and an entrepreneur and business owner. Her mission is to inspire and empower others.

Lynn Given was born and raised in Maryland. She graduated from college with human resource and marketing degrees, but later found a passion for writing that developed as time went on. Once she married Jamie, the love of her life, she moved to Colorado. They have two beautiful sons. She has since made a name for herself as an entrepreneur and business owner, as well as an inspirational speaker. Lynn has a John Maxwell Certification for speaking and coaching. “I thrive to help women in business overcome and master limiting beliefs. Whether I am working with clients, staff, business owners, or writing, my mission is to inspire and empower each person to be the best version of themselves; to do more, to be more and to have more.”

Lynn finds inspiration in the great outdoors and loves spending time with her family. She enjoys hiking, walking, and meditating. She also loves to bring her dogs Bear, Duke, and Zelda along with her. Although her tabby cat Abby isn’t particularly inclined to going on hikes, she loves her kitty all the same.

Lynn is a franchise owner of MaidPro locations in Parker, Littleton, and Arvada.

MaidPro offers amazing franchise support while still allowing for enough autonomy that she can make it her own. She’s not in the cleaning business. She is in the people business – for both her clients and for her employees. She not only provides jobs – she inspires and empowers her staff in countless ways.

Lynn is extremely passionate about affirmations that can help children be self-confident, grateful, and kind. By planting the seeds of positivity, optimism, and confidence, children can reap what they sow now throughout their lives.

As the author of I AM Me books, she shares the same principles and philosophies she uses with children everywhere. In fact, she used these same principles with her own two children when they were younger.. I AM ME: Child Affirmations is an inspirational conversation starter between children and parents or children and grandparents about a child’s feelings and how they interact with others.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No, life is not always easy for me. It is about making intentional choices and I choose not to focus on life’s challenges and obstacles, but instead I focus on positive affirmations. When setbacks do arise, I make informed decisions and try something new. Self-doubt and limiting ideas can hold us back. Statements such as “I am a strong woman,” can put us in a productive mindset that helps us be flexible and adapt quickly. This is one of the reasons I thought it was so important to write an I AM ME book for adults. The most important advice I would give to a young woman just starting her career or launching her own business is to follow your dreams, stay positive, and to never give up!.

Equipping Children for Success

I was inspired to become an inspirational speaker and to write the I AM books when a little girl shared with me that she had never been told that she was loved. I knew it was important to get the message out there to set children up for success – even in the darkest times. By reading and saying out loud, “I am loved,” and “I am unstoppable,” children are better equipped to handle stress and life in general.

Going Above and Beyond

That really speaks to me and mirrors the vision and mission I have for my business and the people I work with. In addition, my affiliation with MaidPro inspired me to become a franchisee coach and mentor.
