Conversations with the Inspiring Reanna Romero

Today we’d like to introduce you to Reanna Romero.

Reanna, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started off in the fitness industry working out with friends. It was our “girl time”. We would get up early and go workout before work. The gym we worked out at was an old school competitor gym. Everyone was so friendly and the environment was positive. The environment and my friends pushed me to compete in my first competition in 2017. From watching my first show to competing, I fell in love with fitness and all that it had to offer. I have nine years of healthcare experience, so this just motivated me more to help others become the best versions of themselves.

Has it been a smooth road?
This has definitely not been a smooth road. I had extremely unrealistic expectations when I first started out. I wanted to drop down to 10% body fat within three months and to look amazing at my first show. Well, since starting my fitness journey and frequently changing up my diet for years, it has made it harder for my body to respond to the changes I make. Being in the fitness industry is not easy either, especially with social media. You will see women who have smoking hot bodies and it can discourage you when you see little progress yourself. My suggestion is to unfollow those who you envy. Find people who lift you up and motivate you on social media instead, There are enough pressures from everyday life that you need to bring in some positive vibes in order to crush your goals. My other suggestion would be to take it slow, enjoy the journey and enjoy the results. If you put too much pressure on looking a certain way, you won’t follow through with it and you’ll likely quit.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into rerefitness story. Tell us more about the business.
I pride myself in helping others create a sustainable lifestyle for themselves. I joined 1stPhorm a year ago and through them, I supply those needing supplementation the right supplements to reach their goals and to help them gain lean muscle mass while eating a healthy diet and exercising. By taking the products myself, I am able to understand and offer advice on the products. Some products might work well for some and not be a good choice for others. I love working out and creating a healthy lifestyle for myself, it does not feel like work to me. I have created a healthy lifestyle and have made it fun. I am 100% dedicated and available to those that seek help and want to work together. If they are within driving range, I will even get together and work out with them. Workout partners make it fun and push you harder than you would by yourself.

It would be great to hear about any apps, books, podcasts or other resources that you’ve used and would recommend to others.
I absolutely love podcasts. Currently, I have 9 ready to listen to. I enjoy listening to entrepreneurial podcasts while I workout. It makes me think and changes my perspective on things. I also enjoy reading, some of my favorite books are; The One Thing, Think and Grow Rich and The 80/20 Principle. My favorite apps right now are MyFitnessPal because it is free and helps track my meals for me. It contains most food and is easy to use. I always recommend this app. For my workouts, I have been using a workout tracker called FitNotes. It helps track my progress and lets me know what muscle groups I’ve worked during my session. I started writing my own blogs on WordPress but also enjoy reading blogs on fashion, fitness, and health.
