Conversations with Justin Roush

Today we’d like to introduce you to Justin Roush.

Hi Justin, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was born in Denver in 1985 and have lived in Colorado my whole life. I graduated from Ralston Valley High School in Arvada and went on to play college baseball at Regis University. I finished my degree at Colorado State University in 2007. I earned a degree in Public Relations and Business. I worked for the Colorado Rockies before becoming a full-time insurance agent in 2010. I also owned a print shop (Victory Print and Design in Lakewood, CO) from 2013 to 2019. I specialize in helping individuals, families and business owners protect their assets through insurance products.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely NOT. Working as an insurance agent, owning a print shop is tough as it is. But family life took a turn in 2016 when my wife, Stephanie, was diagnosed with MS. This was very challenging mentally along with the stress of growing both businesses. The print shop took a lot of time and energy but we eventually got it going and I was able to focus more on my insurance business. There were many late nights and tired eyes.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Individual, family and Business Insurance. I help individuals, families and business owners protect their assets with insurance products. These products include but are not limited to personal home, auto, life and umbrella insurance… On the business side, I hope business owners protect their business with insurance products such as General Liability, Property, Auto, Liquor, Assault and Battery, Employment Practices Liability, Inland Marine, Workers Compensation Insurance, ETC. I would say I am best known for my personality, customer service and relationship skills. I really try my best to let my clients know I care about them. I communicate very well to the point that I usually over-communicate. I just feel like my clients deserve to be in the know throughout the process. Insurance is not everyone’s favorite but I try every day to get a smile from my clients. I let them know I care for them and I am here for them.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory was all the lifelong friends I made while competing in Golf, Football, Basketball and Baseball. If I had to pinpoint an actual moment… It was winning the 2003 4A state championship in basketball with all my best friends I grew up competing with and against. It was a special moment, especially as seniors.
