Daily Inspiration: Meet Cade Wood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cade Wood

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started by posting on social media to showcase my journey and to give out fitness tips.

Throughout that process, I was approached by a model manager, who believed I could do a lot more with my appearance. At the time I had no idea what that meant, but I trusted him after he booked me a New York Fashion Week two days after us talking. Immediately, after I walked the first runway, my modeling career began to explode.

I was approached by a Playboy, Calvin Klein, Yves Saint Laurent, and since then I have been in Vogue and on the cover of GQ. My story by no means is common, but I am extremely blessed to have the experiences that I have and been able to show to others around the United States that it is possible to achieve your dreams.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Roads in this industry are never smooth, there are definitely periods that are higher than others, where you are booking things all the time, it seems like every company on the planet wants to work with you, and you are going nonstop. However, there are plenty of periods where you’re getting rejecteddaily, sometimes 10 to 20 times per day. There are other times where nobody seems to work with you, nobody responds to you, and you can get dropped at a moments notice.

Modeling and social media come with their challenges because they are extremely competitive, unforgiving, and unpredictable. I wouldn’t change it for the world though! It is so fun that things are always changing because it keeps it exciting.

It’s imperative that you accept that there will be highs, and there will be lows. Don’t read too much into it, just take it as it comes because it can change in an instant!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I work as an international model and content creator. This is always a difficult thing to describe at dinner parties, and two older family members, how I am able to make a living by taking and posting photos and videos.

I tend to specialize in creating a lifestyle content, tips for men on how to take care of themselves, providing fitness advice, as well as working in high fashion modeling, which includes runways, magazines, and campaigns all around the world.

I believe I have become most known for being on the cover of GQ, appearing in vogue, and also building a large following on various social media platforms.

I believe what sets me apart from other models and creators is my authenticity, as well as my ability to stay true to myself in such a world where ego can take over. I love to pour out my own flaws, I love to make jokes, and I love to provide as much advice as I can to people to help them better themselves and feel more confident while pursuing their dreams.

How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happy is providing for others, I love showcasing that anything is possible, I love helping people through areas that I have struggled with myself.

I heard a quote that said, “you are best equipped to help the person you used to be.”

I used to be scared to post, I used to not like how I looked when I saw myself in the mirror, I was insecure, I lacked confidence, and now that I have gained those things through hard work and building a stack of proof that I am doing something right, I want to showcase that to others.

If I can teach somebody or give them advice, that’s going to help better their lives that is going to make me happier than anything.
